Fast forward 15+ years, and I’ve planned magical weddings, hosted world-class events, doubled event business revenue, created sold-out hospitality suites, and delivered award-winning brand moments.
But I didn’t start there.
I started where you might be now — Googling “how to become an event planner”, learning by doing (and failing), and figuring it all out the long **hard** way.
And I was miserable starting out… Enrolled in a 3-year diploma – costing thousands, teaching me nothing… (I still haven’t used one thing from Uni in my career today…)
After this, I threw myself into the industry – learning as I go, taking on everything and anything that came my way. Great news, this method worked!
Downside is – it took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get here..
It was hard as hell – but so worth it: there were so many late nights – but luckily I had my industry friends…
Clients had mega dreams and demands – but they were happy every time…
And all the moments away from home, touring the country to build mega events were hard… I got homesick… But these events grew bigger every single year – and it was glorious!
Every moment was magic.
But it didn’t have to be that hard… or lonely…
